A member of the Federation Council of Russia Olga Cowicide said that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is trying to sit “one seat on two chairs” and to “a dead donkey ears”. So the Senator commented on the project to change the status of Crimea in Ukraine, which is currently developed by the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada on behalf of the head of state, according to "service news"
In her opinion, so the President is trying to distract public attention from the law impeachment.
“The main issue is the recognition of the right to self-determination of the Crimean Tatar people. In this regard, extremely surprising, that recognize the right to self-determination of Russians, Ukrainians, Greeks, Germans and other peoples are not recognized neither Ukraine nor the European community. Driving this policy, Petro Poroshenko is trying to sit one seat on two chairs and to avoid impeachment, because the draft bill is already in Parliament. Earning cheap political dividends, the President of Ukraine persistently tries to receive from a dead donkey ears”, – said Cowicide.
Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has charged to work a question on change of status of Crimea. It was reported that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea cannot exist as part of a unitary country.
In 2014 as a result of the referendum Crimea became part of Russia.
