Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Emir of Qatar
Moscow. July 1. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to normalise the situation around Qatar.
At the initiative of the Qatari side had a telephone conversation of Putin with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, said on Saturday the press service of the Kremlin.
“Discussed the crisis in relations between Qatar and several other States. Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to overcome the existing differences and normalizing the current difficult situation”, — stated in the message.
During the conversation were “the leaders continued exchanging views on topical issues in Russian-Qatari cooperation, with a focus on the implementation of a number of promising projects, including in investment and energy spheres”.
Agreed about the contacts at various levels, informs a press-service.
Earlier on Saturday, the conversation Putin and king of Bahrain’s initiative Baranski side. During this conversation they also discussed Qatar.
