Russian Deputy Prime Minister for social Affairs Olga Golodets told about the possible timing of the decision on prolongation of the maternity capital program. Her words quoted in Saturday, June 24, RIA Novosti.
“Before the adoption of the draft budget until the autumn. Until the end of September — beginning of October, so,” — said Golodets. She noted that the government is currently discussing the topic of mercapital, together with other measures of demographic policy.
Vice Prime Minister also expressed hope that in the coming months, the Cabinet of Ministers “will give a good proposal for support of young families”, including that will presented the plan to solve the problem with the manger.
On 15 June the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a straight line promised to revisit the issue of indexation of the parent capital. The head of state invited the authorities, given the lower level of income to examine the question of the transfer of the funds to families directly or to give them the opportunity to spend it on something else.
In early June, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that the maternity capital programme, valid until 31 December 2018, it is necessary to extend.
The maternity capital is paid in Russia since 2007. Now the allowance amounts to 453 thousand rubles. The camera is available to families who gave birth or adopted two or more children. Funds can be spent on improving the housing conditions of the family pension to the mother, the child’s education, equipment housing means for children with disabilities, as well as to pay off the mortgage.
