Russian President Vladimir Putin stopped in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where are venerated the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Before that, the President together with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill on the name day. As passed “Interfax”, the first person in the country visited the residence of the Patriarch in the Pure lane in the break between two meetings on economic issues.
The relics of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was brought to Moscow on 21 may from the Italian city of Bari. In the Russian capital they will stay until 12 July and from 13 to 28 July in St. Petersburg. Then back in Italy.
