Vladimir Dzhabarov

The decision on granting Ukraine visa-free regime with the EU will result in uncontrolled migration. This view was expressed by first Deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Vladimir Jabbarov Thursday, may 11, reports RT.

The Senator suggested that because of the lack of conditions for work at home to third of the working population of Ukraine will go to work in the EU. “There is a great danger that I would go to Ukrainians by tourists and remain to seek work. That is, it will act the same gray scheme,” — said dzhabarov.

He also stressed that this may lead to deterioration of a criminogenic situation in the European countries.

Earlier Thursday, the EU Council finally approved the decision on granting visa-free regime to Ukrainian citizens. The signing of the document by the presidents of the European Parliament and of the Council scheduled for 17 may. It will then be published in the official journal of the EU. After 20 days the document will come into force.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the EU decision a “giant step in Europe, the assertion of human freedom and independence of our state”.

Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Alexei Meshkov, in turn, noted that “bezviz” is just the “carrot on a string, which is just slightly simplifies the existing system”. The diplomat stressed that in this case, the Ukrainians and the Russians received a five-year Schengen visa will have the same opportunities.
