The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held operational meeting with permanent members of the security Council. This was reported by press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS Wednesday, may 10.

According to him, the Russian leader and the members of the security Council discussed issues of Russian-American relations in the context of the meeting of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson and President Donald trump, which will be held may 10 at the White house.

“An exchange of views in the course of formation of zones of de-escalation in Syria in light of the conclusion at the meeting in Astana of the relevant agreement”, — said the official representative of the Kremlin.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speakers of the state Duma and the Federation Council, the heads of law enforcement agencies.

Earlier Wednesday it was reported that the meeting of Lavrov with the us President is scheduled for 10:30 local time (17:30 GMT), it will be held behind closed doors. The foreign Minister will also hold in Alaska talks Tillerson, during which, as expected, they will discuss the initiative on creation of zones of de-escalation in Syria.
