The DPRK confirmed the arrest of the Americans for “hostile acts”
Moscow. May 3. INTERFAX.RU — DPRK Authorities have confirmed that at the end of April detained a U.S. citizen, said on Wednesday the North Korean Agency KCNA.
KCNA notes that the 58-year-old American Professor Tony Kim was arrested April 22 at the airport in Pyongyang. His Korean name is Kim San Doc.
He is accused of “hostile criminal actions, which aim at Subversion”.
Kim was detained at the airport at a time when my wife was going to leave Korea and fly to China. Prior to that, he about a month taught at the Pyongyang University of science and technology.
