Gatilov: resolution on chemical weapons in Syria has created a negative background for settling

GENEVA, 28 Feb. /TASS/. The decision to submit for discussion in the UN security Council resolution on chemical weapons in Syria creates a negative background for settling the situation in the country.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Gennady Gatilov, answering the question TASS.

“We safetyweb resolution in its current form. It is counterproductive and not based on genuine information and facts, he said. – As for the background (for the Syrian settlement), it will be negative not because we safetyweb this resolution, and due to the fact that it was made”.

How are the negotiations

Russia will continue close coordination with the government of Syria talks in Geneva, said at the permanent mission of the Russian Federation to the UN office and other international organizations in Geneva at the end of the meeting, Gatilov and the head of the delegation of the Syrian government, to the permanent representative to the UN Bashar ja’afari.
