MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Senator Vadim Tulpanov offers to settle the status of the collectors and to punish more severely for crimes committed against them. A letter with such a proposal (a copy is available at the disposal of TASS), he wrote to the President of the Supreme court Vyacheslav Lebedev.
The MP noted that in recent increase in cases of assaults on persons engaged in cash-in-transit functions. To confirm his words he cited statistics of the Russian Association of collection (ROSINKAS), according to which “in 2012, there was over 1.5 offences in the sphere of cash circulation in 2013 – 1.9 thousand, in 2014, 2.4 thousand, in 2015 – more than 2.8 thousand.” “For the first six months of 2016 has been made more than 2.5 thousand crimes related to the transportation of the money,” – said of the Tulips. He also noted that the increasing number of crimes against collectors “entails not only significant economic losses but also extremely dangerous increase in the number of incidents involving the use of weapons in public places.”
