In the state Duma on 28 February will be held a round table on the topic: “Russian-American relations: realities and prospects”. As the correspondent of IA REGNUM on February 26, reported the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky (LDPR).
Participation in the discussion will be attended by Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov, the State Duma deputies, Federation Council members, representatives of leading research institutes Russian Academy of Sciences, experts and political scientists.
In the framework of the “round table” is planned to analyze the status and prospects of Russian-American cooperation. “I am convinced that in today’s geopolitical environment, in terms of the surge of international terrorism for two major world powers — Russia and the United States — should lead constructive, pragmatic and equal dialogue on all key issues on the international agenda and at all levels,” said Slutsky.
Russian parliamentarians hope that it will be possible to restart the mechanism of inter-parliamentary bilateral cooperation.
