Representing the Syrian government delegation will hold direct talks only with the opposition, which directly condemn terrorism. This was stated by the permanent representative of Syria to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari, after a meeting with the special envoy of the UN Secretary General on Syria Staffan de Mistura. He stressed that after the terrorist attack in HOMS, the talks were devoted exclusively to the topic of terrorism.
“Direct negotiations are possible only with a single delegation of the Patriotic opposition, which will condemn terrorism. We all know that all the platforms of the opposition is very much divided, both vertically and horizontally,” said the diplomat.
Earlier, the representative of the delegation of the Syrian opposition said that they want to negotiate directly with Damascus. The services of international mediators, they are not going to give up.
