As writes the edition with reference to certain American officials last week, officials from the White house called a news organization, expressing disagreement with the content of the alleged contacts of members of the election team of the President of trump and employees of the Russian intelligence.
It is noted that these calls were organized by the White house after an unsuccessful attempt of the administration to force the FBI to contact the media to challenge the accuracy of reports of such contacts with Moscow. WP writes that journalists associated with access to classified intelligence on Russia, in particular, Republican Senator Richard Burr and Congressman Devin Nunes. They recognized that was in contact with journalists at the request of the administration.
Earlier, U.S. officials said the New York Times that members of the presidential campaign, trump allegedly repeatedly contacted senior officials of the Russian intelligence service in 2016 before the elections in the United States. What the American President said that the leaks in the media about “links with the Russian intelligence service” is a crime and has denied these reports.
According to the press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, information about the team contact trump with the Russian intelligence is not based on anything. Therefore it is advised not to read the morning papers as “very difficult now real from fakes to distinguish”.
