MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov has stated the inadmissibility of attempts to glorify Stalin. This opinion he expressed on his page in Instagram.

In Chechnya on Thursday to remember the victims of the deportation of the Chechen and Ingush people on February 23 1944.

“23 Feb 1944 the Chechen nation was loaded into cars for transportation of cattle and deported to Siberia and the vast steppes of Central Asia, — he wrote. — Thousands and thousands of Chechens defended the Caucasus, Stalingrad, Moscow, broke through the siege of Leningrad, took Koenigsberg and Berlin, liberated Warsaw, Kiev, Prague and Vienna. In gratitude for this Stalin dealt with the Chechen people”.

“Those who today seek to glorify Stalin, attributed exclusively to him alone is the victory in the great Patriotic war, we should remember that at the front and in the rear killed tens of millions of people. That they defeated fascism, not Stalin!” — said the head of the Republic.

February 23, 1944, the representatives of the Chechen and Ingush peoples in droves were sent to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Exiled was even those who fought on the fronts of the great Patriotic war. On the eve of the deputies of the National Assembly of Ingushetia unanimously adopted in the first reading the draft law, which prohibits perpetuate the memory of Stalin on the territory of the region. The law prohibits not only for the installation of monuments, busts of Stalin, and the appropriation of his name cities, villages and streets, but also public justification, approval of its activities, including by posting pictures in public places and administrative offices with the aim of exaltation of his personality and deeds.
