Serbian President Tomislav nikolić posthumously awarded the permanent representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin the order of the Serbian banner for his friendly assistance to the country in the UN.
“Today I was posthumously awarded Ambassador Churkin, the order of the Serbian flag of the first degree. We have not yet announced it, I mean, as long as we have such friends in the UN, I’m not worried”, — quotes RIA Novosti President’s words.
Earlier the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Churkin was posthumously awarded the order of Courage.
Vitaly Churkin, died February 20 in new York.
