More than 300 Russian and foreign diplomats came to say goodbye with the permanent representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin. This was announced by Russian diplomatic mission in Twitter.
At the farewell ceremony were made by the widow Churkin – Irina, his son Maxim, Russian Ambassador in Washington Sergey Kislyak, the permanent representatives of Kazakhstan and the United States – Nikki Haley and Kairat Umarov accordingly. Also the floor was taken by Deputy Russian Ambassador Pyotr Ilyich and Vladimir Safronkov.
