The white house explained the President’s words trump about the incident in Sweden
WASHINGTON, 20 Feb — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. The US President Donald trump, speaking about the incident in Sweden was not referring to any specific incident, told reporters the White house spokesman, quoted by Reuters.
Yesterday in a speech in Florida, trump said: “Look, what’s going on in Germany, look what happened in Sweden last night. Sweden! Who would believe it. Sweden received a large number (refugees and migrants), and she had problems that they thought were not possible!” However, no special state of emergency in Sweden on Friday and on previous days did not happen. Trump has been subjected to ridicule and attacks on the Internet for his statement.
According to the White house, trump is “not talking about a specific incident” and was referring to the overall situation in Sweden, including the rise of crime and number of incidents, allegedly, involving immigrants.
The representative of the Swedish foreign Ministry said the Embassy in the US appealed to the state Department for clarification of trump.
As explained earlier, the Swedish television SVT, it is likely that trump was referring to one of the programs of the American channel Fox News, where talking about problems with immigrants in Sweden. The newspaper Aftonbladet has listed everything that happened in the country on Friday evening and asked for comments to the security police and the foreign Ministry of Sweden, did not find anything suspicious.
