Personal phone Hitler has sold at auction for 243 thousand USD

MOSCOW, 20 Feb — RIA Novosti. Personal phone Adolf Hitler went under the hammer at auction in the US on Sunday for 243 thousand dollars, said the auction house Alexander Historical Auctions.

According to the Agency France Presse, the cost of the phone was estimated at 200-300 thousand dollars, while the starting price was 100 thousand.

Phone Siemens with an engraving named Hitler was the gift of the Wehrmacht. In 1945 he was found by Soviet soldiers in Hitler’s bunker and then transferred to the British officer, whose family kept the machine for over 70 years.

The auction house calls this lot “perhaps the most devastating “weapon” of all time, who murdered millions of people around the world.” Its estimated cost — from 200 thousand to 300 thousand dollars.
