In the Department of documentary film Yeltsin center in Yekaterinburg will hold a screening of three tapes, telling about the biography of an opposition politician Boris Nemtsov. This was reported on the website of the institution.
The days of memory of Nemtsov will be held on 27 and 28 February.
The first day will be shown two documentary films: a film portrait of Vladimir Kara-Murza “the Germans” and also the documentary work of Director Zosia, Radkevich “My friend Boris Nemtsov”.
February 28, historian and journalist Nikolai Svanidze presents the film Mikhail Fishman and Faith Krychev “Too free man.”
On 17 February it became known that the Department of public safety of Sverdlovsk region refused to negotiate a rally in memory of Nemtsov. The event was planned on February 27 at the Labor square in the center of Yekaterinburg. There the activists were going to organize a people’s memorial, where anyone could bring flowers.
The politician was shot dead on February 27, 2015, on the Big Moskvoretsky bridge. Nemtsov was hit by four bullets, he died on the spot. On suspicion in murder was detained and then arrested Zaur Dadayev, Timur Eskerkhanov, Khamzat, and Anzor Shadid Gubareva.
The Yeltsin centre is a public cultural and educational institution, opened in Yekaterinburg in 2015. One of the main objects of the centre is the Museum of Boris Yeltsin, devoted to the modern political history of Russia. On the grounds of the center regularly hosts lectures, concerts, exhibitions, festivals and various social events.
