Italian Ministry of foreign Affairs hopes to return to the G8 format after the lifting of sanctions against Russia, said the Minister, Angelino Alfano. This he said on the sidelines of the summit of “big twenty” in Bonn, said the Agency Ansa.
“The wish is to overcome the subject of sanctions, you can return to the G8 format. It is a goal on which we are working,” said Alfano.
Earlier, Alfano has repeatedly stated the need to evaluate conditions for the return to the G8 format with the participation of Moscow.
On Friday, February 17, the Italian foreign Minister will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. It was reported that he will meet with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson.
