In the suburban town of Ruza plan to erect a monument to Tsar Ivan the terrible. About this “Interfax” reported in the administration of Ruzsky of the city district Friday, February 17.
“It is believed that during the reign of Ivan the terrible Ruza acquired great military significance, lands that were allocated in the oprichnina — the lot with particular territory, the army and the unit, the proceeds from which were received in the state Treasury”, — explained the Agency interlocutor.
The erection of the monument is planned to be financed from extra-budgetary sources. To select the location for it will be offered to local residents.
It is noted that the installation of the monument will take place in the framework of the project “Roosa historical city” aimed at attracting tourists. Also, the city plans to hang the address plates with historical names of streets.
