Stoltenberg said scale placed in Eastern Europe NATO force
Moscow. 16 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — Accommodation in Eastern Europe NATO force is balanced and defensive in nature, so the number of forces in the region will not be commensurate with the forces that Russia deploys. This was said on Thursday at a press conference in Brussels NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“Four multinational battle groups reached full operational capacity by June,” — said Stoltenberg. According to him, “they are evidence of transatlantic cooperation and resolve of NATO, and they send a clear message to any potential aggressor.”
The NATO Secretary General also said that the Alliance wants more constructive relations with Russia, but should strengthen deterrence.

Earlier it was reported that NATO countries agreed to the allies from the Pentagon chief James Mattis to increase defence spending.
