Rescuers resumed the search for the Robinson R66 helicopter crashed in the area of lake Teletskoye in Altai. About it on Wednesday, February 15, reports “Interfax” with reference to press center of the regional Central Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia.
“The search resumed Wednesday, with the onset of daylight, at 9:00 local time. It is expected that searches will be conducted by ground teams, machine, Falcon, helicopters and divers who examined the bottom, along the shoreline of lakes”, — explained in Department.
February 13 rescuers surveyed two kilometers of the shore line, with three helicopters have been viewed by 30 square kilometers of its waters. In addition, Falcon has studied 500 square meters of Teletskoye lake at depths up to 250 meters, and the divers made two dives and examined a total of 100 square meters of the bottom.
Earlier on Monday, on the shore of the lake was found the body of one of the passengers of the helicopter — Elena Rakitskaya, as well as several fragments. In search involved dozens of rescuers, helicopters, emergency, submersible and hovercraft. The operation was suspended on 13 February due to bad weather conditions.
The Robinson R66 helicopter 12 Feb fell in Turochaksky district of the Altai Republic near the Cape of Kocsi in the area of lake Teletskoye. On Board were five people: former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Anatoly Bannykh, CEO HeliClub Maria Kozintsev, chief pilot of the airline”, Altavia” Dmitry Rakitskaya with his wife Helen and another passenger Gleb Voevodin.
Teletskoye lake is located in the North-East of the Altai mountains in Turochaksky and Ulagansky districts. Its area is 223 square kilometers, a mean depth of about 170 metres and over 300 metres.
