In Belarus came the first tourists without visas
The first tourists without visas arrived in Belarus after the commencement of the free five-day entry.
As stated in the state border Committee (SBC), the national airport “Minsk” is operating normally, no reinforcement of staff is not provided.
“We are ready to maneuver on their own. If we see a very active direction of arrival, all channels, all the jobs will be filled immediately” — leads TASS words of the head of the border control GIC Oleg Lyashuk.
Deputy Minister of sport and tourism Michael the Tailor said that the introduction of a five-day visa-free regime is a “goodwill gesture”, showing that “the country open”.
“Clearly, in the first two or three months we do not expect a multiple increase in tourists,” said Mr Tailor. The first visa-free tourists arrive this morning on a Charter flight from Slovakia and went through the border control at the airport at 00:01.
We will remind, five-day visas available to citizens of 80 countries, but only when entering through the airport of Minsk. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko earlier said that the abolition of visas does not mean the removal of border controls.
