Migration policy does not include a prohibition for Muslims – trump

The US President Donald trump said that the media had misinterpreted his immigration policy as a “ban on Muslims”, reports RIA Novosti. He added that the decree was intended to protect America from terrorism, not from a particular religion.


 


“I want to say clearly that this is not a prohibition for Muslims, as incorrectly reported by the media. It’s not a question of religion – it is a question of terrorism and security in our country,” said Donald trump.


 


He noted that his decree does not cover more than 40 countries of the world where most people practice Islam.


 


Donald trump has signed a decree suspending for 120 days the program of reception of refugees in the United States. The number of countries which prohibited the entry of refugees who entered Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. This was reported by local media.
