Lithuania refused claims to Kaliningrad oblast

The agenda of Lithuania’s foreign policy is not a question about the status of the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. It is reported TASS with reference to the press-attache of the foreign Minister of the Baltic Republic Race Akilian.

“This area is an integrated part of the Russian Federation,” she said about the Kaliningrad region.

She stressed that Lithuania has no territorial claims to any of the neighbors. In the future, Vilnius also will not recognize unilateral changes in borders.

Earlier it was reported that former press Secretary of the President of Lithuania, now a member of the Seimas Linas, Balsis proposed to deprive the Russian Kaliningrad oblast. Such a statement he made during the discussion “the World in 2017”, held in Vilnius last week. The parliamentarian is sure that Kaliningrad was transferred to Russia temporarily, but not forever.
