MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The ground forces of the Russian Federation in 2017, I plan to participate in six international exercises, three of them will be abroad. This was announced by Deputy commander of the Land forces Colonel-General Alexander lentsov at the annual Military Council of the Main command of the Land forces.
“In the 2017 academic year is planned to conduct six joint military exercises with army units in foreign countries, three of them are on the territory of foreign States”, – he said.
The largest of these are interspecific joint Russian-Indian land, sea and air exercises “Indra-2017”. “Land of the Russian-Indian exercise “Indra-2017” in India, the naval exercise “Indra Navy-2017” and air exercises “Aviaindra-2017″ will be held on the territory of Russia,” said Lenz.
The General management of the holding “Indra-2017” is assigned to the commander of the Ground forces Oleg Slukova.
Previously, the defense Ministry of the Russian Federation informed about the plans of the Land forces to hold next year’s joint exercises with the Armed forces of India, Mongolia, Vietnam, Nicaragua and Pakistan as well as countries participating in the CSTO.
The teachings of missile and artillery
As reported by the chief of rocket troops and artillery of the Land forces Lieutenant General Michael Matveevsky, missile troops and artillery of the Land forces in 2017 will participate in the 18 command post exercises.
“To enhance the level of training of commanders and staffs of compounds of missile and artillery troops for 2017 18 planned command-staff exercises, which is 1.5 times more than in 2016,” he said.
