In the US State Department said that U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and the head of the Russian Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov at the meeting in Hamburg and discussed multilateral efforts for a ceasefire in Aleppo, Syria and humanitarian access, RIA Novosti reported.
“We discussed the extremely difficult situation around Aleppo, exchanged some ideas, we plan to meet tomorrow morning to compare notes,” said Kerry.
After meeting with his us counterpart, Lavrov held talks with foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier. On Thursday, Hamburg starts a two-day meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
