The chief physician of the Kemerovo clinical ambulance station Eugene Averyanov fired after the resident had a home birth in the night, not waiting for the arrival of doctors. The corresponding decision was accepted the head of region Aman Tuleyev, reported on Tuesday, January 24, on the website of the regional administration.
“The Governor believes that the ambulance service worked outrageously unprofessional. Especially during the Christmas holidays in the region was declared a high alert all operational services. Including health care institutions were instructed to work with the maximum readiness of all the holidays, and the main doctors personally monitor the work of medical institutions”, — stated in the message.

The incident occurred on the night of 1 January. The woman began premature labor, and at about 05:00 she called the ambulance. The team of physicians, however, arrived only two hours later, when birth is over. Mother and child were taken to the regional children’s clinical hospital. Until January 23, the girl was in intensive care, she is now transferred to the Department of pathology of newborns.
In the regional Department of public health delay the doctors explained that the car broke down on the way to the call. “The need to replace the brigade and sent to call the other car was not entered in the computer with one paramedic, and the other Manager who receives a repeated call, I was sure that the ambulance is on the way to giving birth,” notes on the website of administration of the Kemerovo region.
