Forecasts of analysts about a possible change of the Russian government are a kind of tradition, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. His words on Friday, January 20, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
“You know this is our traditional fun — to predict a change of government next Monday, next month or next half year. I am not inclined to indulge in this pastime”, — said Peskov, commenting on the regular reports of the impending resignation of Russian Ministers led by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
On January 19 the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” with reference to the words of one of the scientists reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to change the composition of the government in the spring. This decision, according to the interlocutor of the edition, is connected with the preparation of the programme of the new economic policy. At the same time, added the analyst, the question of who will head the new composition of the Cabinet remains open.
November 15, Putin sent Alexei Ulyukayev dismissed from the post of head of the RF Ministry of economic development. On 19 August the President of Russia has signed decrees about resignation of Dmitry Livanov Minister of education and science, as well as on the appointment to the post of Olga Vasilyeva.
Also in August, the Kremlin considered it unnecessary to respond to the petition about dismissal of the Prime Minister.
Dmitry Medvedev is headed by the Cabinet in may 2012. For four years he held the post of head of state.
