Earlier on Tuesday the official representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the publication of CNN, said that the American media became hysterical. Initially they tried to paint Republicans as the Pro-Russian candidate, and now went the opposite way, said Zakharov.
On 16 January, the TV channel published a compilation of interviews with trump, in which he, in particular, called Russia the biggest problem that the US and supported sanctions against Moscow. According to CNN, in March 2014 he agreed with the former candidate for presidents of the United States MITT Romney, who called Russia a “geopolitical enemy of the U.S. number one”.
