State Duma Deputy from the party “United Russia” Evgeny Fedorov suggested to the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to send 12 American diplomats from Russia. According to Fedorov, they may threaten Russian national security.
In the text of the request says that they can “prevent the maintenance of adequate levels of social, political, and defense of the existence and innovative development of the country” and the invincibility of its interests on foreign and internal threats, RIA “Novosti”.
In the list of the diplomats “the eviction” included: first Secretary of the Embassy of the USA Bradford bell, Deputy head of U.S. mission Lynne Tracy, Deputy Consul for economic Affairs of the USA on the Ural Michael Ritchie, the head of the political Department of the Embassy in Moscow Anthony Godfrey, Minister Counsellor for economic Affairs Embassy of the United States, Douglas Kramer, in St. Petersburg — Consul General Thomas Leary Consul Chad Nordberg.
Fedorov believes that these officials hold meetings across Russia with the representatives of the “fifth column” and “agents of influence” of the US, and after this happen the various pickets and protests.
