Putin’s adviser sees no point in the oath when taking citizenship
EKATERINBURG, 8 Jun — RIA Novosti, Olga Erachina. Presidential adviser Veniamin Yakovlev said that he sees no point in the oath taking at citizenship.
“Irresponsible people will bring you any oath, but the cost will be negligible,” Yakovlev said at a press-conference of the European-Asian legal Congress in Yekaterinburg.
On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin meeting with state Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin suggested deputies to think about in accession to citizenship was offered the oath. After that, the head of the Duma Committee on legislation and state building Pavel Krasheninnikov said that the Parliament established a special working group that will develop a text.
