Leading broadcaster NBC Megyn Kelly, which took in St. Petersburg interview with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin shared his impressions from the conversation with the head of state. About this journalist said in the morning the Today program on Sunday, June 4.
In her words, “when the camera it was a different person.” Kelly noted that Putin treated her “warm, very politely, asked about family, told details about her”. “Communication with eye to eye was very personal,” she added.
At the same time when the camera was Putin “the Russian President, whom we all know”, said the journalist. “He was determined in battle, defiant, energetic, he attacked on most issues. It was the Vladimir Putin, who love to see the Russians,” said Kelly.
Leading believes that the head of state “actually like it when he’s challenged”. According to her, she allowed herself to do it, resulting in it having a “pretty dynamic, almost explosive” exchange of views.
Kelly acted as moderator for the discussions of the St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF). Its main activities were held from 1 to 3 June. It was reported that on 2 June the President of Russia opened the plenary session of SPIEF with a joke: participants who welcomed him, he commanded “at ease!”. In closing remarks, Putin made fun of Kelly.
