On preparations for the Moscow region to the world championship on football which will pass in Russia in 2018, will provide more than four billion rubles. This was announced by the Minister of physical culture and sports of the Roman Trushkov at the meeting of the regional government, the Agency reports city news “Moscow” on Tuesday, may 30.
Work, in particular, include the reconstruction of the facades of buildings, construction of pedestrian areas, overhaul of lighting systems, and road maintenance.
The part of means will be directed on creation and improvement of 17 training sites and adjacent territories. Football fields, built using modern technologies, will be located in Khimki, Domodedovo, Lobnya, Kirov, Pushkin, Dolgoprudny, Odintsovo, Naro-Fominsk, Moscow, Solnechnogorsk and Istra districts, said the TV channel “360”.
All facilities are planned to be commissioned in April 2018.
The world championship will be held from 14 June to 15 July 2018. The tournament matches will be played in 12 stadiums in 11 cities: Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg. Suburban base will be used for training athletes participating.
