Barnaul suggested be renamed to Putingrad for comprehensive development

The candidate in deputies of the Barnaul Marina Chausova proposed to rename the city in Putingrad. His idea she explained in an interview with radio station “Moscow speaking”.

“If we rename our city in honor of the leader, in my opinion, the absolute leader not only in Russia but all over the world, the Barnaul rise from his knees and development will be comprehensive: and utilities, and people will become kinder, and the city budget will suffice”, — the politician considers. In her words, proof that the name change has a positive effect on the life of the city can be considered St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. In addition, she believes that “three settlement called Barnaul Russia is too many”.

Soon Chausova intends to draw up a petition.

The proposal to rename was made during a debate on the program of development of municipal economy.

The portal MyAltai reports that in addition to the administrative center of Altai Krai, Barnaul name is also a military town in Borzinsky district of Zabaykalsky Krai (also called Borzya-2) and village in the Vargashinskiy district, Kurgan region. Previously, it was called the village of Arusi in the Lak district of Dagestan.
