Mayor of Yekaterinburg Yevgeny Roizman intends to nominate his candidacy for the elections of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region from the party “Yabloko”. He said this on his page in Facebook on Tuesday, may 16.
“That’s it. Decided. Nominated for the election of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region from the “Apple”. Grigory Yavlinsky (the founder of the party — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) — thank you for your stance and support,” he wrote.
Roizman also noted that Yabloko has a decent reputation and he meets all the criteria. “There was a problem — to find a party that does not smeared, this time, and two that will not SAG. These conditions for today only match “Apple”,” he was quoted by the national news service (NSN).
On 17 April the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvasheva. On the same day Roizman announced his desire to run for Governor. The mayor noted that it is not lost in this region, nor one election.
Roizman became mayor of Ekaterinburg in September 2013. He ran from the party of businessman Mikhail Prokhorov “Civic platform”. Before 2011 was another party of the businessman — “the Right thing”, which ceased to exist in March last year. Roizman is one of the founders of the public organization “City without drugs”.
