Rally against the demolition of five-story building in Moscow
On Sakharov Avenue in Moscow ended with sanctioned by the authorities a rally against the program of renovation of housing capital. About it reports “Interfax” on Sunday, may 14.
According to the chief Department of the MIA of Russia in Moscow, the rally was attended by about eight thousand people. Violations of public order at the event had been committed, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
At the same time, according to the organization “White counter”, the event was attended by 20.2 thousand people. Allowed the number of protesters was up to five thousand people.
On 13 may the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin has submitted to the Moscow city Duma a bill under which residents of homes within the program of renovation, provide 12 additional guarantees. In particular, from participation in the program can opt out at any time. The law will come into force after the adoption of a similar Federal law.
In February, President Vladimir Putin instructed the mayor to demolish everything in Moscow Khrushchev and build in their place a new home.
