Opposition leader Alexei Navalny took to the rally against the program of renovation of housing capital, which takes place in the center of Moscow. He said this Sunday, may 14, on his Twitter page.
According to him, riot police took action also his wife Julia and son Zachary. “About 30 people were taken. Zach is a little upset, but now everything is OK,” said the opposition leader.
Prior to that, he announced that he will participate in a rally for himself and for 90-year-old grandmother of the wife living in a five story building on Preobrazhenke.
The actions of the opposition complained to one of the organizers of the rally, the journalist Ekaterina Vinokurova. “Navalny breaks on the scene. To the meeting he had nothing. It is simply indecent” — she wrote in Facebook.
Navalny, in turn, said that did not plan to speak at the rally, and the scene came, because he called one of the organizers Julia Galiamina.
The action began in the afternoon on Sunday, may 14, on Sakharov Avenue. Police reported that the event goes smoothly and without disabilities.
The interior Ministry also pointed out that the rally came about five thousand people. At the same time, according to the organization “White counter”, counting the participants, the campaign came to 19.9 thousand people. This allowed the municipality the number of rally participants is up to five thousand people.
