Washington informed Beijing about the fact that he did not intend to take military action against Pyongyang and is ready to ensure the safety of the North Korean regime if the nuclear missile programme of the DPRK will be minimized, according to Kyodo.
The new us administration has repeatedly voiced a tough stance against North Korea, stressing that “all options, including military, remain on the table”. The situation on the Korean Peninsula escalated in early last year, when Pyongyang carried out a nuclear test and later launched a ballistic missile artificial satellite of the Earth. In April, the DPRK made a few rocket launches, the last of them was made a few hours after a special meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
