Kommersant: The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has proposed new bans for owners of ATVs and snowmobiles , swamp vehicles, buggies and other types of off-road vehicles. Kommersant writes about this.
The department has developed a draft government decree with a list of faults and conditions on the basis of which the operation of such vehicles will be prohibited. So, it is proposed to prohibit their use in case of brake malfunctions or with steering play, which for snowmobiles and swamp vehicles should not be higher than 15 degrees.
In addition, the prohibition of operation will also be applied if the brake lights come on, and also if the sound signal, the exhaust system is faulty, the headlights are off, there is no license plate or the level of harmful substances in the exhaust is exceeded.
The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture told the publication that the project is on consideration by the subcommittee of the government commission on administrative reform. The development of a new list of prohibitions is provided for by the law “On self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment.” It will come into force in July 2022. The document was created for agricultural machinery, but now it will also affect the owners of snowmobiles, ATVs, ATVs, buggies.
Earlier it became known that in the first half of 2021, sales of agricultural machinery on the domestic market in Russia increased sharply – 1.5 times … The indicator increased by 43.3 percent, up to 93.9 billion rubles. The most actively produced were plows and agricultural tractors, sprayers, seeders and grain cleaning machines. Total sales amounted to 94 billion rubles.
