Gunzburg said that the nasal vaccine will also give protection to those who were not previously vaccinated with Sputnik V. However, a person should have antibodies from other “working” drugs.
“It will probably be if a person was vaccinated with working vaccines that give antibodies,” explained the head of the center.
Earlier Gunzburg stated that with the omicron strain, a severe form of coronavirus can develop longer than with other variants, due to the large number of mutations. According to him, thanks to this, the body has more time to develop immunity. If this process proceeds in the same way as in the previous strains, then memory cells will work and protect the body, Gunzburg explained.
