Blogger Ustinov was sentenced to 14 years for extortion from the management of several factories

The court gave 14 years of strict regime to the Ural blogger and administrator of the Ustinov Trolit Telegram channel Alexander Ustinov for extortion from representatives of several large Russian factories. On Friday, November 26, the press service of the Presnensky District Court reported to Lente.ru.

The investigation charged the blogger and administrator of several Telegram channels Ustinov with extortion, libel and illegal distribution of pornographic materials. He extorted money from representatives of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill and the Ventprom machine-building plant for removing negative publications in the media, to the appearance of which he himself was directly involved. It is clarified that Ustinov posted incriminating evidence on Telegram channels and demanded money to remove it.

The state prosecutor demanded 16 years in prison for the blogger, but the court gave 14 and imposed a fine of 900 thousand rubles. Since December 2018, Ustinov has been under arrest. He was detained in Yekaterinburg, arrested there, but later transferred to a pre-trial detention center in Moscow. In total, he spent three years in isolation wards.
