Korean boy group BTS wins Major American award main nomination

Korean group BTS won the Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards

American Music Awards (AMA). The musicians were named the best artist of the year, according to the event website.

The K-pop group also received awards in the categories “Best Duet or Group” and “Best Pop Song”. The single Butter won BTS's latest nomination.

18-year-old American Olivia Rodrigo was named Best New Artist. The collaboration of the year was recognized as the track Kiss Me More by performers Doja Cat and SZA. Ed Sheeran was named Pop Singer of the Year, and Taylor Swift was named Pop Singer of the Year.

In July, it was reported that BTS was among the most popular singers in Russia. The K-pop group is ranked # 1 on Spotify's Most Listened Bands list.
