Employee of the Phobos center Tishkovets: Central Russia will face frost in the first half of the week 
Leading employee of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets In a conversation with RIA Novosti, he warned that Russians from Central Russia will face frosty nights in the first half of next week – up to minus 10 degrees.
“In Central Russia, the meteorological winter continues to stall, but at the beginning of the coming week will take half a step forward, “Tishkovets said, noting that a snow cyclone of North Atlantic origin centered over the Middle Urals will unfold in its rear section.
“Following the cold atmospheric front, the polar air will rush, the wave of which in the next day or two will reach the interfluve of the Volga and Don,” said the forecaster, adding that as a result, the thaw will be replaced by frost and the temperature background will be 1-2 degrees below the required climatic norms.
According to him, on the night of Monday, November 22, frosts will hit, in some places there will be light snow, and a weak ice will form. During the day, there will be a reverse diurnal temperature variation, which, despite the sun peeking out from behind the clouds and the minimum probability of precipitation, will decrease and go into the negative sector of thermometers – from zero to minus five degrees.
On Tuesday, November 23 , against the background of increased atmospheric pressure, the night will be the coldest in the current season. “In the afternoon, the warm front of the next baric envoy of the North Atlantic will rush to the Russian Plain,” Tishkovets said.
At the same time, the second half of the week will be marked by the west-east transfer of Atlantic air masses. As a result, frosts will subside and daily temperature fluctuations will fall within the range from minus three to plus two degrees.
On Thursday, November 25, it will be dry, and by the end of the week cyclones will activate. “It will not do without precipitation in a mixed phase and icy phenomena, which means that the onset of a real Russian winter is postponed until December,” the meteorologist concluded.
Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, warned some Russians about the abnormal cold. In some regions, the temperature will drop to minus 30 degrees.
