Lukashenka was compared to a “tour operator without a license” because of the situation with migrants

European Commissioner Johansson: Lukashenko and Minsk are responsible for the situation with migrants

The European Commissioner for Internal Affairs Ilva Johansson compared the President of Belarus to a “tour operator without a license” because of the situation with migrants on the border with Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. She stressed in an interview with the Welt am Sonntag newspaper that the head of state and the authorities in Minsk are responsible for what is happening.

“During the crisis, Alexander Lukashenko behaves like a tour operator without a license, which sells expensive tour packages to the EU, which then on arrival they disappear by themselves, “Johansson said.

The European Commissioner added that the families of the refugees were deceived, they endure great suffering. She considered what was happening as a tragedy, placing extra responsibility for the current crisis on the official authorities of Belarus and the president of the republic.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki called what is happening on the Polish-Belarusian border a hybrid war launched against the European Union by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with the secret support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stressed that Warsaw will not succumb to blackmail and will do everything possible to “stop the evil threatening Europe.”
