Russian film named Oscar nominee

Film critics have named the film “Unclenching Fists” as a likely contender for the shortlist of the “Oscar” was named one of the likely shortlisted Oscars for Best Foreign Film. The list of films was compiled by film critics of the IndieWire portal.

It is noted that the film “Unclenching his fists” showed good results at international film festivals. “The film will have an impact on anyone who decides to watch it,” the film critics assured.

The list also includes such films as “Coupe Six” from Finland, “Bad Fuck, or Crazy Porn” from Romania, French “Titan”, Norwegian “Worst Man in the World” and Colombian “Memory”.

Earlier in November, Unclenching Fists won the European Film Academy's Best Editing award. In October it became known that the picture was nominated for an Oscar from Russia.

The last time Russia was shortlisted for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category was in 2017 with the film Dislike directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev.
