In an interview with the agency, Milyutenko confirmed the information about Bogomolov's death. He also called the journalist an amazing creative person.

Condolences on the death of Bogomolov were also brought by the head of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Soloviev. “Unfortunately, I personally did not know my colleague, but I know that he is a deserved person in all respects. Anatoly Bogomolov was born in 1930. Since 1963, he served as the chief editor of the All-Union Radio programs, later he worked as the chief editor of the programs of the Central Television. In 1969 he became the curator of the programs of the Central Television.

Since 1980, Bogomolov served as the chief editor of the editorial board of the USSR State Cinema Committee for feature films, and in 1996 became the head of the periodical press department of the Russian Ministry of Press. Since 1998, he was the secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
