Unicom 24: about 40 percent of credit card holders in Russia are at risk of delaying payments payments. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to a study of the financial marketplace “Unicom 24”.
According to analysts, this is due to the fact that today about 60 percent of cardholders have one active credit card in their hands. 32 percent have two, and 8 percent have three or more. Thus, about 40 percent of users are at a higher risk of late payments, experts emphasize.
President of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies (NAPKA) Elman Mehdiyev named the reason for this relationship. According to him, with an increase in the number of existing loans, the likelihood of their delay increases in direct proportion.
Managing Director of the First Collection Bureau Pavel Mikhmel notes that Russians, experiencing financial difficulties, first of all begin to miss credit card payments. believing that in the case of such loans, this does not carry significant risks. At the same time, he stressed that banks are closely monitoring such credit limits and do not allow a share increase in delinquencies in the volume of loans.
Earlier, the National Council of the Financial Market (NSFM) of Russia asked the State Duma to exclude credit cards from the action of the planned mechanism to restrict the issuance of consumer loans. It is noted that such an offer is due to the flexibility of the limit, which depends on the individual characteristics of the borrower.
