Luscher believes that when used in moderation, wine is not dangerous, but not healthy either. Coffee can be beneficial if you drink no more than four cups a day. Dark chocolate with minimal amounts of sugar and fat is also healthy, unlike white, which he claims is not healthy at all.
Experts asked by The Guardian to comment on Luscher's statement are of the same opinion. “My patients at the heart clinic often assume that wine, chocolate and coffee are bad for them,” said Paul Leeson, professor of cardiovascular medicine at the University of Oxford. “And I see a clear relief when I tell them that it might not be so.”
“For a healthy heart, a healthy lifestyle is more important than the amount of coffee, chocolate or alcohol you consume.” , – confirmed the senior nutritionist of the British Heart Foundation Tracy Parker.
Earlier it was reported that nutritionist Elena Solomatina named the maximum amount of chocolate that can be eaten during the day. The expert believes that in a normal situation, the daily dose of this delicacy should not exceed one or two pieces.
