FDPD Chairman Linder: Nord Stream 2 should get a chance to operate in an interview with the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, he named the condition under which the Nord Stream 2 project should get a chance. This is reported by TASS.
According to the politician, a permit for operation must be issued in accordance with European legislation, and the fair interests of Ukraine and German East European partners must be taken into account. The JVP chairman stressed that the project had been “announced exclusively as a commercial project” for too long, while, in his opinion, this is not true.
Lindner also noted that Germany needs to expand its own capacity to receive energy from renewable sources so that the country is less dependent on Russian gas. In particular, he suggested that Germany will be able to import hydrogen and synthetic liquid fuel to a greater extent.
Earlier, the Bundestag deputy from the Left faction Sevim Dagdelen called for abandoning the all-in game with Nord Stream 2 … She stressed that the pipeline is of great importance for the infrastructure of Germany, and the game of all-in is short-sighted and reckless and hits ordinary citizens.
